Twenty years of code.
A second act in mentorship.
Full-stack engineer with two decades in Java and Spring, now building an AI platform and training the next generation of women and minorities to break into tech.
Engineer first. Mentor by conviction.
I've spent twenty years designing, coding, and deploying software for banks, retailers, and healthcare systems — from Wells Fargo to Bank of America to Walgreens. Somewhere along the way, the work I cared about most stopped being only the code.
Today I split my time between building an AI platform, running a bootcamp that brings women and minorities into tech, and creating inspirational, faith-rooted video content for kids. I completed six months of full-stack Java training and four months of frontend training early on, and I've never stopped learning since — most recently Spring AI, RAG, Docker, and AWS Bedrock.

Two decades, one thread
From core Java applications to modern AI-integrated platforms — here's the arc, most recent first.
Lead Software Developer
- Architected a full-stack financial platform on Spring Boot, React, and MySQL, from requirements through deployment.
- Trained and mentored student developers in full-stack development.
Software Developer / Tech Lead
- Led a search-platform migration from ElasticSearch to Algolia with zero-downtime rollout.
- Directed teams of 5–8 developers and delivered an ADA/ICDP compliance initiative from the ground up.
- Resolved production-critical bugs and built ADO release pipelines for a PepsiCo integration.
- Directed Azure Functions triggered by MongoDB changes to keep search indexes synchronized in real time.
- Designed a database and code solution for a Small Dollar project after key personnel were reassigned mid-project.
Lead / Senior Software Developer
- Led a rebranding and technology-upgrade initiative across multiple Java web applications.
- Delivered post-merger web services enabling Wachovia customers to access accounts through Wells Fargo systems.
- Co-designed MobiusOps, a new Spring MVC application, from requirements through Oracle schema design.
- Directed a 6-person team through a web-vulnerability remediation project.
- Built a first-iteration e-commerce site for a small business as an independent consultant.
Senior Software Engineer
- Designed a secure SOAP/XML web service bridging Java sockets and MQ Series for financial-institution account data.
- Built a Tomcat/AXIS web service enabling remote access to a flight simulation framework.
Lead Application Developer
- Built and maintained METS, a client/server tracking application used by 2,000+ people across 50+ internal applications.
What the code has funded
Jobless graduates placed in entry-level tech roles
Years of production engineering across finance, retail & healthcare
Active ventures — a bootcamp and an AI platform
Kids reached through inspirational, faith-rooted video content
What I'm building now
An AI platform built to scale
Currently in development and seeking angel investors — a platform designed with long-term acquisition potential in mind, drawing on hands-on work with Spring AI, OpenAI, Ollama, and RAG architecture.
A bootcamp for women & minorities entering tech
Hands-on training that has helped roughly 15 jobless graduates land their first entry-level tech opportunity.
Software development & consulting
Designing, coding, and deploying enterprise and small-business software — from financial platforms to responsive front ends.
GoFundMe-backed scholarships
Raising funds to provide scholarships for Christian students from Ethiopia, alongside inspirational, Bible-rooted video content created for kids.
Where this is heading
Fund the AI platform
Take the AI platform from working proof-of-concept to a fundable, revenue-generating product with real traction.
Build a bootcamp that runs itself
Grow EZTechForWomen into a self-sustaining program with trained, trustworthy contributors carrying it forward.
Expand the scholarship fund
Reach more Christian students in Ethiopia each year through steady, sustained fundraising.
Keep creating with purpose
Continue producing inspirational, faith-rooted content that motivates the next generation toward tech and character.
